Voucher Code App Helps Shoppers Save Time & Money

With 67% of adults now searching for online discount vouchers before doing their shopping, Myfavouritevouchercodes.co.uk has come up with a unique idea. Rather than trawling the database for codes, shoppers are now alerted to a potential saving by a browser app.

18th August 2013, Bath, UK – voucher code website, My Favourite Voucher Codes, has launched an app that helps shoppers save more money.

Since the economic downturn in 2008, the rise of online coupons has huge, with affiliate networks and discount websites popping up all over the internet. However, it’s just not consumers’ money that’s being squeezed harder; it seems they also have less time to waste too.

Research by Nielsen established that 81% chose to shop online because of the convenience of 24 hour shopping and 77% said they did it to avoid queues in store and on the road.

Whether it’s due to work or family life, most people are living with a hectic schedule these days, so spending a few minutes searching for coupons is just seen as an added burden.

Research shows that over half (52%) of discount voucher users spend more than 15 minutes searching for codes each week, but a quarter spend as much as an hour trying to find the best deals.

Conscious of the demand on consumers’ time, site owner, Julian House, came up with a unique way for shoppers to save money quickly.

People have previously expressed their dismay at having to waste time searching around for online coupons, only to find that they’ve already expired. Although My Favourite Voucher Codes displays this information clearly on the website, they wanted to go a step further in helping busy shoppers get the best deals.

By downloading the voucher code app onto their browser (available for Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox), they’ll be notified when visiting a site that could offer a saving. This means that shoppers can browse at their own speed and quickly be aware of potential savings, rather than having to spend time searching for relevant coupons.

Julian House, founder of My Favourite Voucher Codes said: “We thought that consumers might be missing out on our exclusive deals because of the pressure to checkout quickly. {{So, to ensure that everyone can make savings, no matter how much time they had available, we developed a voucher code app to prevent them missing out”}}.

My Favourite Voucher Codes is one of the UK’s newest voucher codes websites. As well as helping savvy shoppers get the best deals on their purchases, they also donate 20% of profits to various good causes and charities.
