Click Consult excited at prospect of Quick View option in Google Mobile

UK search marketing agency, Click Consult, have welcomed the prospect of a potential ‘Quick View’ facility being implemented onto search engine Google’s mobile site.

As revealed by Barry Schwartz on Search Engine Roundtable and by Wissam Dandan on Google +, the search engine giant is currently testing a Quick View function on its mobile site. From screen shots posted online by Dandan, a large blue ‘Quick View’ button will appear next to search results on Google using a smartphone. When clicking on this icon the user is able to load a mobile preview of the site, which allows them to see a brief snapshot of a site before deciding whether to ‘View Original’ and proceed to the full site.

According to Schwartz, Google has only confirmed at this stage that this is only a test. Although questions such as “how do sites get picked up to be granted a ‘Quick View’ button in mobile results?” still remain at this time, this could well be another exciting new implementation by Google for 2013.

Click Consult are a Google AdWord certified company and work hard to ensure that all areas of its business are in line with Google’s best practise guidelines and rules. This in turn helps the company to deliver the best search engine marketing solutions to its clients.

“Although this is still in the development process at this stage, we’re very excited at the prospect of this becoming a reality. Mobile web development is such a key area for us with the rise of smartphones and tablets and this is another great way in which its functionality can be improved,” said Matt Bullas, Managing Director of Click Consult. “A Quick View addition would also help us to better review our clients’ analytics, as it would help to reduce the amount of false clicks and visitors to a site from mobiles.”

Ignoring reviews of your online activity for long periods also means you make more work for yourself and raise your costs.
